"I'll give you a buck for a bunch," said Manakintowne Specialty Grower's first customer 25 years ago. Since then, Manakintowne - a family-run small business - has thrived by selling specialty produce to dozens of top restaurants, farmers markets, and co-ops in central Virginia. Some say diversified farming is a dying art. Yet Manakintowne has served as a model for success - employing up to 12 workers and counting up to 60 restaurants as regular weekly customers during the busy season. Fresh, innovative, and alive are but a few of the words chefs use to describe the herbs, mixed greens, and veggies that come from the farm. The personal touch of the farmers guarantees that no two bags are the same. We are Manakintowne Specialty Growers, and we are free enterprise. Please support our video for the US Chamber of Commerce's "I Am Free Enterprise" video contest. Team Manakintowne: Clay Broga, Dan Hayes, Pete Markham, and Jo Pendergraph

The book and popular seminar program, "If Nobody Loves You, Create The Demand" have emerged over the years as Dr. Joel Freeman has built his own consulting business, along with his other entrepreneurial enterprises. An alternative, long-winded title to this book could be, "If Nothing Is Happening in Your Business, Don't Sit Around Popping Martyr Pills -- Work Smarter and Make Something Happen!" One reviewer of the advance manuscript said, "...I almost felt guilty getting this kind of information without having to pay..." Combining personal vulnerability, pithy advice and reader-friendly content Freeman has developed an intriguing approach to the entrepreneurial journey, which has already connected with many noted business experts ranging from Steve Forbes, George Fraser, Ken Blanchard, Cathy Hughes and Peter Shea to Brian Tracy, Janice Corley, Ben Carson and Rich DeVos.
